Base Pay Range $68,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Job Description In this role, you’ll be an important part of a strategic team responsible for working closely with our EMR Application database working to create best practices for data management, in depth analysis and development and supporting data requests to help support our clinical outcomes, business development efforts. The work performed will impact teams across the country and play a key part in helping us deliver high‑quality care to our patients through insightful data visualizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Sr. Data Analyst with DaVita’s Hospital Services Group (HSG), you’ll play an important role in the development of our EMR database environment. You’ll be responsible for leading database development initiatives through collaboration with strategic business partners, creating data analysis insights, supporting data sources utilizing our EMR database, and applying critical thinking skills to troubleshoot stakeholder questions. A key area of responsibility will be around the work completed with strategic business partners to enhance our data environment. Analytics and Technical Skills

Synthesize analysis into clear, strategic recommendations, delivering presentations tailored to a variety of stakeholders that could include leadership, cross‑functional groups, and field teammates.

Support the development and rollout of next‑generation clinical analytics & data visualization capabilities in support of clinical team leaders using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and Anaplan and others.

Manage the preparation and continuous improvement of EMR database structure through recommendations of views for increasing access efficiency.

Independently plan and establish next steps to drive projects forward.

Proactively identify key metrics utilizing methods like exploratory analysis within current data collected or opportunities for enhancements to data collection that can create a value add for hospital partnership.

Maintain and enhance data sources to provide industry‑leading insights and reporting to external partners.

Problem Solving & Communication

Own creation and maintenance of EMR reporting documentation (i.e. Data Dictionary, Data Source Descriptions, etc.).

Support with ad hoc questions, analyses, and clearly convey findings to stakeholders identifying recommended actions when appropriate.

Deconstruct complex challenges into clear, actionable steps and craft robust, strategic solutions.

Strategic Initiative

Promote best practices in development and document process steps as needed.

Own regular auditing and validations to ensure data integrity and model performance.

Work with partners by actively listening to their needs and offering feedback to ensure desirable outcomes.

Work cross‑functionally to provide analytic and technical expertise to the broader team to support the ongoing performance of HSG.

Recommend enhancements to ETL data processes.

Other ad hoc clinical, business development, and operational projects as needed.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in analytics, preferably within healthcare or hospital systems, with demonstrated progression in responsibility.

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, etc.), Master’s degree preferred (MBA with an analytics concentration).

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Expert‑level SQL proficiency including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and understanding database architecture.

Fluency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R) for advanced analytics, modeling, and automation workflows.

Significant experience creating compelling data visualizations with analytics software platforms and languages, including, but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and Alteryx.

Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression modeling) and/or machine learning techniques.

Experience leading cross‑functional data initiatives or projects, including stakeholder engagement and change management.

Strong storytelling and data communication skills — ability to tailor insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, strong work ethic, efficient time management, attention to detail, creative mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility with change, comfort with ambiguity, technical aptitude, and business acumen.
