Integrated design studio (IDS) is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our growing design team. Ideal candidates will be graphically talented, technically savvy, fluent at multi-tasking, and inspired to learn. Our office in Mill Valley, CA is home to a dynamic multidisciplinary design collaborative of architects, engineers, and designers, and outdoor display gardens.
IDS is a landscape architecture and site planning firm with projects ranging from SF residential design, schools, childcare spaces, and hospitality. More information can be found on our website www.integrateddesignstudio.com.
IDS offers competitive compensation, including paid vacation, full medical and dental benefits, and our "flexible Friday" program. Compensation is based on experience. Job is in office or on sites 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday (remote Fridays).
Responsibilities:
Organization of project workflow from design concept through construction details
Development of Conceptual and Schematic Designs (2D & 3D renderings)
Development of Planting Plans, Irrigation Plans, and Vegetation Management Plans
Specifications of details and materials
Coordination with consultant teams (architects, engineers, etc.)
Research of building code, planning, and other permitting requirements
Coordination of digital files for permit submittals
Production of Graphic presentations for community meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
Desire to be part of a collaborative team
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in landscape architecture profession
Experience organizing project workflow from design concept through the development of design drawings, into construction documents
Experience producing Concepts & Schematic Designs
Experience producing Planting and Irrigation Plans
Knowledge of California plants and drought tolerant, fire-safe, water efficient standards
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
Applicants must already be authorized to work permanently in the United States
Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):
Experience with on-site Construction Administration
Experience producing Vegetation Management Plans
Experience using Lumion for Schematic renderings
