Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
EHS Manager
We’re working with a leading dairy processing company in California that’s seeking an EHS Manager. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to oversee critical safety functions, training, auditing and continuous improvement. As a key member of the leadership team, you will motivate and lead a team of associates, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with other departments to maintain workflow continuity. This role will involve ensuring a safe environment for all employees, contractors and visitors while upholding safety protocols. This is an essential position for someone ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Actively lead and implement foundational safety systems, including LOTO, machine guarding, permit required confined spaces, fall protection and other critical safety requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and food safety standards (e.g., SQF, HACCP, GMP).
Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support training initiatives.
Implement CAPEX plan for safety improvement
Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and materials management teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety, GMPs and SOPs.
Enforce proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in safety, occupational health or related field
5+ years in a safety role in a food manufacturing; dairy industry strongly preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing/food production environment.
Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) required throughout the shift.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
