School Psychologist in Silver Spring, MD
A contract position is available for a School Psychologist at an early childhood school located in Silver Spring, MD. This role involves evaluating young children as part of the Preschool Child Find team, contributing to early identification and support services across the county.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for preschool-aged children.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret evaluation results and develop appropriate recommendations.
Participate in child find activities to identify and support children with developmental or learning challenges.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with state and county regulations.
Communicate findings effectively with parents, educators, and other stakeholders.
Provide support and consultation to school staff regarding early childhood developmental concerns.
Qualifications
Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
Experience in early childhood assessment and intervention preferred.
Strong knowledge of psychological testing, evaluation methods, and applicable laws.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Availability to work approximately 24 hours per week with coverage expected from March through July 2026.
Location Early Childhood School setting in Silver Spring, Maryland.
