NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Walnut Creek, CA office.
The Email Marketing Manager develops, implements, and manages email marketing strategies to drive Member engagement, lead generation, and sales for the club. This role involves creating compelling email campaigns, analyzing performance metrics, and optimizing strategies to achieve measurable results.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
Develop and implement email marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
Create engaging and persuasive email content (subject lines, body text, calls to action).
Analyze email marketing performance data (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and identify areas for optimization.
Recommend and implement A/B testing and optimizations for email campaigns to maximize results.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in email marketing.
Collaborate with other marketing team members to integrate email marketing efforts into overall marketing campaigns.
Report on email marketing performance and provide recommendations for improvement monthly.
Partner with the Marketing Analytics team to create audience segments.
Oversee the assigned/approved annual budget for your channel, monitoring its use monthly and continually looking for ways to optimize spend.
Direct outside agencies/resources assigned to your channel.
Knowledge And Skills
Proven ability to develop and execute successful email marketing campaigns.
Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and industry trends.
Experience with email marketing software (SFMC and Litmus preferred).
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Proficient in analyzing data, observing trends, and evaluating and reporting on campaign success and areas of opportunity.
A/B testing master.
EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field plus 8 years of experience in email marketing
OR High School diploma plus 12 years experience in email marketing
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in Litmus and SFMC
We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $129,234.00 - Mid: $161,542.00 - Max: $193,849.00
