Overview Post-doctoral Fellow at Boston University Medical Campus

A funded postdoctoral fellow position is available for a collaborative project led by Dr. Ishibashi through the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine in Boston, MA. The laboratory carries out basic and translational research using preclinical models to investigate the impact of Perinatal Injury on Neurodevelopment and Neurodegeneration.

The full-time research fellow will work on our collaborative and innovative studies. Tools for state-of-the-art imaging together with cutting edge cellular/molecular analyses are available to address clinically relevant questions in neuro-development and degeneration using preclinical animal model. In addition to techniques utilized in the Ishibashi lab, there are opportunities to collaborate and learn various techniques utilized by other investigators at the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, including in vivo Ca2+ imaging, behavioral profiling, in vitro physiology, and single cell sequencing. Boston University is a highly collaborative environment and offers outstanding core facilities in microscopy/imaging, genomics/bioinformatics and animal behavior.

Please learn more about our collaborative research and preclinical animal models through our website.

The postdoc will join a collegial, collaborative and highly productive team studying development and function/dysfunction of the CNS after perinatal brain injury.
