The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Software Developer 2 to design, develop, and maintain complex software applications. The role involves working with a team to deliver high-quality solutions using modern development methodologies. Key Responsibilities
Development (35%): Design, code, and modify complex programs, APIs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts using C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and Oracle Database. Perform testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards. Support & Maintenance (25%): Collaborate with trainers, technical support, and contract staff to update systems, resolve production issues, and implement new systems. Requirements Analysis (10%): Analyze requirements for new applications or enhancements. Team Collaboration (20%): Work with a development team, coordinate efforts, and provide status updates to team leaders or project managers. Documentation (10%): Assist in developing and maintaining system documentation. Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Experience (Required) :
5 years in programming, analysis, and development using C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, RESTful services, and Entity Framework; 5 years in coding, testing, and debugging programs for development, issue resolution, or enhancement; 5 years in Angular development (TypeScript, RxJS, Angular CLI, component-based architecture); 5 years in PL/SQL programming and Oracle Database design; 5 years of strong oral and written communication skills; 5 years of interpersonal skills to motivate and collaborate effectively; 4 years of knowledge in IT industry trends, architectural concepts, and data protection practices; 4 years of experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Experience (Preferred) :
2 years of familiarity with HHSC's information architecture and software technology. Additional Requirements
