Overview The Data Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Credit Union’s operational systems and front‑line data users by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable data. The Data Analytics department acts as a consultant for the lines of business and provides both raw data and in‑depth analysis to end users, offering operational data as well as performance insights.
Responsibilities
Service a queue of incoming data requests by writing custom SQL queries against the databases.
Consult with internal customers to understand data needs and advise on the best method of delivery (raw data, analysis, dashboards, etc.).
Collect, organize, and validate large datasets from multiple systems.
Perform analysis on datasets on a regular or ad‑hoc basis as directed by senior management.
Prepare recurring reporting, establish distribution lists, and monitor performance of scheduled report operations.
Manage inventory of report and data assets by maintaining documentation for report and data requests, and respond to changes in distribution lists.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or similar strongly preferred.
Two to three years of experience in a financial institution or similar.
Strong experience with SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and Excel is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced‑level Power BI experience preferred.
Advanced‑level Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
Exposure to Snowflake and Python a plus.
