Job: Senior Land Surveyor Supervisor
Location: Flexible (Lenexa, KS HQ, regional office, hybrid, or remote)

What You’ll Do As a Sr. Land Surveyor Supervisor, you’ll:
Lead field and office survey teams, providing daily guidance, coaching, and technical support.
Promote a safety-first culture and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Mentor staff in technical development, project delivery, and career growth.
Conduct regular performance check-ins and support the annual review process.
Oversee project setup, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Review survey data, calculations, and deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
Implement standard operating procedures and QA/QC processes in alignment with the Survey Group Leader.
Monitor project progress, performance metrics, and team workloads.
Provide technical support to Project Managers and field crews to resolve complex issues.
Apply advanced mathematics, coordinate geometry, and boundary law principles to guide technical work.
Ensure compliance with state licensing, safety regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Market Leaders to align survey scope, schedules, and deliverables.
Support proposal preparation, scoping activities, and client communications as needed.
Represent the Survey Group professionally in client interactions and project meetings.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in appropriate jurisdiction (required).
7+ years of progressive experience in surveying, including 2-3 years in a leadership role.
Advanced knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, GPS, and LiDAR workflows.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams and resolve complex issues.
Demonstrated experience managing field crews, office staff, and multiple concurrent survey projects.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments.
May require travel to field sites, client meetings, or regional offices.
