[Immediate] Elementary Art Teacher [SY 25-26] KIPP Chicago is seeking an Elementary Art Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. Teachers participate in and lead school-wide performances and shows throughout the year and work within existing curricula while applying their own expertise in Art education. Responsibilities
As a KIPP Chicago Teacher, core responsibilities include mission alignment, curriculum and instruction, and care of students with a commitment to strong classroom culture. Mission Alignment: uphold a belief that all students can be successful, maintain a growth mindset, pursue anti-racism, and ensure regular on-site attendance. Curriculum and Instruction: use the aligned regional curriculum, monitor student progress, provide daily feedback, and differentiate instruction using instructional technology. Care of Students and Classroom Culture: affirm and challenge students daily, manage behavior, communicate with families, and contribute to a positive school-wide culture. Participate in and lead school-wide performances and shows; collaborate with grade-level and content teams; engage in ongoing professional development rooted in antiracist practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required) Illinois Professional Educator License with Art or Elementary Education Endorsement (required) At least two years of prior success teaching in urban communities (strongly preferred) Cleared CPS Background check before start of employment (required) Compensation And Benefits
