SUMMARY :
The General Manager Production plays a crucial role in overseeing the total operation of the assigned business area. This position ensures the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Total Operation Management : Oversee the entire operation of the assigned business area.
Quality Assurance : Ensure the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products.
Supervisor Support : Provide supervisors with information, materials, and training to produce the highest quality product possible.
Record Monitoring : Monitor records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and TQM.
Innovation Promotion : Monitor and promote new ideas and encourage the development of ideas from Team Members.
Daily Operations Oversight : Oversee the daily operation of the assigned area.
Problem Analysis : Analyze non-routine problems and offer recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal, and State Regulations.
Operational Maintenance : Maintain the entire operation of the assigned area, including safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds.
Qualifications Education : Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.
Experience : 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations. Processing management experience preferred.
Computer Skills : Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills : Strong communication skills.
Travel : As required.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
