Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist)
to handle, segregate, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Pay range: $24.00/hr.
Job is customer‑facing and involves field work at customer sites.

Responsibilities
Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
Prepare computer‑generated packing lists, labels, manifest, and land disposal restriction notifications.
Perform inspections of staging, accumulation and storage areas to ensure compliance.
Inspect storage area and drums for leaks or spills.
Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations.
Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal.
Execute jobs at customer locations.
Finalize preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
Conduct projects/jobs according to site‑specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans.
Understand customer‑specific disposal restrictions/special packaging requirements.
Sample and profile new waste streams or wastes needing analytical testing.
Ensure drum count is correct and drums are shippable.
Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other requirements.
Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid Driver’s license.
Strong customer service skills.
Obtain CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
Perform physical functions as required.
Successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical exam.
Meet facial hair standards for respirator use (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34).
Preferred Qualifications
College degree in Chemistry or Natural Sciences.
Previous experience in Environmental Services (remediation, abatement, spill response, etc.).
Technical Services Provided by Clean Harbors
Waste disposal (hazardous and non‑hazardous) at Company‑owned facilities.
Recycling services for solvents, chemicals, oil, and electrical equipment.
Chemical packing for a wide range of chemicals.
Household hazardous waste collection programs.
