Process Engineer EIT
Tetra Tech is seeking a motivated Process Engineer EIT to join our growing water treatment team, contributing to cutting‑edge PFAS and large‑scale water/wastewater infrastructure projects across the U.S. You’ll work directly with nationally recognized process engineers and a highly collaborative team known for delivering innovative, technically sound solutions.
Role As a Process Design Engineer, you will support the planning and design of treatment systems for emerging contaminants, most notably PFAS, alongside a multidisciplinary team. In this role you will:
Support the delivery of large‑scale water and wastewater treatment projects from planning through construction.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers.
Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and permit packages.
Assist with the preparation of design calculations, process modeling, and equipment sizing for PFAS treatment (e.g., GAC, IX, RO), filtration, disinfection, and other unit processes.
Work closely with the team to prepare design calculations, system modeling, and hydraulic analyses for pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and collection systems.
Engage in on‑site investigations, pilot testing, construction support, and client coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (required).
3–6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering (internship or co‑op experience welcome).
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred (or in progress).
Exposure to or interest in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS‑X).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, and building a long‑term career in water infrastructure.
Salary: $77,000 – $95,000 (dependent on experience)
