Your New Role The Analyst, Engagement will play a pivotal role in analyzing CNN Digital’s audience behavior and engagement trends. This role supports the Senior Manager of Engagement Analytics and partners closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver insights that drive strategic decisions and deepen user engagement across CNN’s digital platforms. We’re seeking a curious, detail‑oriented analyst with a passion for storytelling through data. The ideal candidate will have experience working with digital analytics tools, building visualizations, and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform product development and audience strategies.

Role Accountabilities

Collaborate with product, subscriptions, audience development, editorial, and newsgathering teams to understand business needs and deliver insights that inform product design, content programming, and platform engagement strategies.

Support the Senior Manager of Engagement Analytics in tracking and analyzing key engagement KPIs.

Leverage CNN’s suite of analytics tools to produce impactful presentations, dashboards, and reports that answer stakeholder questions and guide decision‑making.

Provide analysis to support product initiatives, audience growth strategies, and subscription performance, collaborating with the broader Data, Analytics, Research & Testing teams.

Gather reporting requirements and develop scalable data solutions, including dataset management and data transformation pipelines to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Contribute to experimentation and A/B testing efforts, helping teams interpret results and refine hypotheses.

Monitor and surface emerging engagement trends across platforms, identifying opportunities to improve user retention and deepen loyalty.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in digital analytics, audience insights, or a related field.

Working knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, Python, or R for data querying and analysis.

Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Domo, Looker, or Power BI.

Proven storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable insights.

High attention to detail and accuracy in compiling and analyzing data.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentation.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

A strong sense of curiosity and a desire to understand the “why” behind user behavior.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.

Familiarity with digital tagging and data collection methodologies.

Experience with ETL processes and data transformations.

Proficiency with digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar.

Compensation In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,300.00 - $115,700.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
