Role Summary As an individual contributor, the Principal Commercial Products Manager (CPM) manages the commercial performance of one or more revenue products (First Class, Main Cabin, ancillaries, etc.). The CPM builds cross‑product strategy, leads integrated product teams, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to advance Alaska and Hawaiian’s commercial products.

Key Duties

Define and execute long‑term strategies across the product portfolio and position products according to identified customer needs.

Create and maintain product roadmaps to maximize revenue growth and lead market innovation.

Seek out and develop cross‑divisional relationships to support the customer journey across all channels.

Use program management best practices to deliver against program baselines (financial, operational, strategic) and optimize product performance.

Build and lead a cross‑functional integrated product team to execute strategic plans alongside enterprise stakeholders.

Establish product business rules, goals, and competitive set. Recommend pricing and product attributes aligned with enterprise‑wide roadmaps.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on assigned products, drawing on a deep understanding of customer needs, product policies, and financial statements.

Partner with Strategy and Business Development leaders to define future product requirements.

Work closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office and business implementation leaders to manage the implementation of new products or product changes.

Develop and implement product‑specific go‑to‑market plans, working across departments to execute a single, integrated plan.

Define and monitor key performance indicators to ensure alignment with business goals and sustained product performance.

Assume ultimate responsibility for assigned revenue product profit & loss, forecast, and budget success.

Collaborate with leadership to continually improve the customer/end‑user experience leveraging data, user feedback, and product performance.

Job‑Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required

7 years of experience in product or program management, project management, product ownership, or related area.

Bachelor’s degree in a related business field, or two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of the degree.

Demonstrated understanding of program management or product management best practices.

Strong decision‑making, collaboration, consensus building, negotiation, and team‑working skills, including influence.

Ability to lead through change.

Ability to present technical and non‑technical content to internal and external partners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Minimum age of 18.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

Prior airline, aviation, or travel & hospitality industry experience.

Skilled at presenting and storytelling data‑driven strategic insights.

2+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, or working with structured data, preferably SQL.

Experience leading cross‑functional teams.

Advanced degree in Business or related field.

Experience managing third‑party relationships.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

Salary Range $138,500 - $207,750 per year

Salary Details Pay will be based on location, relevant experience, level, and skill set while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits.

Salary Note We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
