Otak is currently seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join our Water and Natural Resources team in either the Redmond or Everett office. This role supports project and development initiatives such as urban stormwater retrofit, stormwater treatment/management, green infrastructure, river/stream/wetland restoration, fish passage, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, geomorphic studies, flood hazard mitigation, and surface water planning.

What You’ll Do

Manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects focused on stormwater infrastructure, fish passage, river and stream restoration, and flood mitigation in the Puget Sound region.

Prepare reports supporting design decisions and permitting.

Direct and oversee the preparation of floodplain and watershed studies, hydrologic and hydraulic design reports, and construction documents.

Guide staff in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Participate in team strategy meetings on business development and technical delivery.

Support client development and proposal activities.

Collaborate with Otak’s Transportation, Planning, and Architecture business units.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering required (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum of 8 years of project management/engineering experience in stream/river restoration design or related field.

Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience preparing construction documents for projects requiring hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic calculations.

Demonstrated success managing projects from design through construction.

Experience with SWMM, HSPF, HEC‑RAS, SRH‑2D or similar models.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and/or AutoCAD.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $115,000‑155,000 per year.
