Position Summary The Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, directly accountable for safety, financial performance, and team development on site, as well as related trades. This position works with the Preconstruction and Project Managers to ensure successful buyout and completion of trade work.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in estimating, bidding and preconstruction, defining scope and evaluating bids for mission‑critical facilities.

Review contract documents and suggest modifications for MEP trades.

Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout the project life cycle.

Assist scheduling department with CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities.

Develop an MEP schedule of values and support billing.

Coordinate project logistics, temporary facilities, and material procurement.

Review and approve materials and equipment prior to installation.

Monitor installation, start‑up, and commissioning with engineer and owner.

Prepare progress reports for project stakeholders.

Represent McCarthy at weekly owner’s meetings.

Supervise, develop, and mentor MEP project engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (plus).

7+ years of experience in construction/MEP coordination.

Direct experience on mission‑critical projects (plus).

In‑depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low‑voltage systems.

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing codes and related building codes.

Proficiency in construction principles and practices.

Experience managing MEP subcontractors.
