This role is part of Blue Origin Operations and will develop and implement quality processes for the design, test, and manufacture of various spaceflight systems. You must excel at solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and on your own initiative; and be adaptable, as you will work on a variety of applications and systems.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain existing and establish new Blue Origin configuration management processes to support needs across the enterprise.

Identify and implement system and process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

Evaluate and recommend configuration and data management methodologies, technologies, and tools to support the organization’s business objectives and future growth.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and support the integration of systems or applications.

Communicate and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders at various levels across Blue Origin to identify configuration and data management needs, define requirements, and drive the implementation of scalable solutions.

Create and continuously monitor process metrics and performance indicators, and initiate corrective actions as needed.

Find opportunities for continuous improvement of quality processes and requirements.

Develop and own instructional content and training courses on configuration and data management for the enterprise.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, promoting professional development and best practices.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in engineering and 10+ years proven ability in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other related industry.

8+ years experience in the development and/or manufacturing of highly integrated and complex products.

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Experience with presenting to and influencing senior leadership.

Advanced professional expertise in configuration management principles and practices.

Serve as liaison between the Quality organization and the business.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills.

Must have the ability to remain flexible in a dynamic working environment.

Experience with Quality System Requirements (preferably AS9100).

Desired

Experience with PTC Windchill PLM tools.

Knowledge of aerospace vehicle fabrication and assembly techniques and related quality control concepts.

Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies.

American Society of Quality Certified Quality Engineer certification.

Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or comparable certification.

Compensation WA applicants: $152,484.00–$213,477.60. Other site ranges may differ.
