Overview Onsite Service Engineer (Hillsboro, OR) at Edwards Vacuum, LLC

Responsibilities

Report into the Site Manager.

Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. Diagnose issues to prevent equipment downtime.

Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.

Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

Qualifications

1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical fields such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. Ideally, with customer-facing experience.

Strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations and timeframes, while aligning with Edwards strategies and processes.

Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems and escalate through appropriate channels when required.

Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand the customer\'s business.

Ability to share technical expertise and provide coaching to less experienced team members.

Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.

Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure safety and health obligations are met.

Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak clearly and see/hear adequately.

Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.

Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work (e.g., technical drawings).
