Overview
Summary: This position is based out of Raleigh, NC – RDU International Airport and reports to the Chief Pilot and Manager, Air Operations. The Captain is responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which they are assigned. The Captain is a visible representative of the company and must act with tact and decorum while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Responsibilities
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned flights through active participation in Safety Management Systems Follow safety and security procedures to protect the aircraft, facilities and company personnel, to include severe weather considerations Provide excellent customer service to passengers and business partners, including customers Comply with the company employee manual, flight operations manual, appropriate FARs, company policies and aircraft flight and operation manuals appropriate to the aircraft being flown Remain informed on the latest developments within the business aviation community, including FARs and other federal, state, local and foreign regulations affecting operations Act as pilot in command or second in command of assigned flights in duties to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the aircraft Prepare flight plans while considering route weather, airport conditions, NOTAMs and ensuring aircraft airworthiness with maintenance and preflight inspections Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers Ensure proper aircraft fueling, weight and balance, and performance calculations meet the FARs Utilize checklists as required by FAR, Flight Operations Manual, Aircraft Flight and/or Operation Manual as appropriate. Demonstrate ability to make decisions necessary to start, delay or cancel flights, or deviate from the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate Complete pre-flight and post-flight duties as outlined in the Flight Operations Manual and as assigned by the trip Captain and/or the Chief Pilot and Manager, Air Operations Maintain confidentiality of passenger manifests, personal information and itineraries at all times Other duties as assigned by Chief Pilot and Manager, Air Operations Qualifications and Experience
5 years experience Associates Degree or equivalent Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Fixed Wing Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating Ability to maintain First Class FAA Medical Gulfstream G280 FAA Type Rating preferred (12 month PIC currency preferred) 4000+ Hours Total Flight Time, 3000+ Hours Multi-Engine Pilot in Command, 2000+ Hours Jet Pilot in Command
