Responsibilities
Lead CAD design efforts for new and existing products, including packaging, labels, and custom components.
Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings for product prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and production layouts.
Collaborate with product development, sales, and production teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
Conduct design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure product designs align with printing capabilities and operational constraints.
Analyze production workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Support the development of jigs, dies, and fixtures using CAD tools to streamline setup and reduce changeover time.
Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis to support production planning.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives focused on product and process optimization.
Assist in capital project planning, including equipment specification and layout design.
Maintain documentation and revision control for all engineering drawings and design files.
Develop simple and effective Standard work documents.
Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on product design in a manufacturing or printing environment.
Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
Strong understanding of printing processes and materials (e.g., flexographic, offset, digital).
Experience with design-for-manufacturing principles and prototyping.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing small consumer product, packaging, labels, or promotional materials.
Knowledge of prepress workflows and file preparation for print.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
Experience with simulation or modeling software (e.g., Arena, Simul8).
