Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manager The Accounting Manager is the central point of contact for the clients. They are responsible for the delivery of the full range of services regarding the daily operations of our clients and oversee accounting, HR, tax and legal matters.
They work with the Branch Director in the areas of business development, technical research, engagement management, client relationships, and staff development.
Key Accountabilities Client Relationships
Provide assistance to your clients in setting up an office in the United States (office space, logistic set up, insurance) and other duties as they arise
Manage daily interactions with Clients: phone, emails
Answer questions in a timely manner
Manage clients’ requests according to priorities and time available
Identify areas of clients’ risks and be proactive in proposing solutions and additional services
Accounting
Oversee the setup of operational functions and maintain accounting policies in conformity with clients’ procedures
Supervise accounts payable and receivable
Supervise bank, cash situation, and general ledger reconciliation
Supervise month-end closings
Establish and maintain internal controls
Serve as a liaison to external auditors
Assist and train clients’ staff if necessary
Reporting & Tax
Prepare or supervise preparation of consolidation package for foreign parent company
Prepare/review monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
Ensure that transactions are properly supported and classified in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Review and or provide necessary information for corporate tax returns prepared externally
Human Resources Management
Work in collaboration with the benefits/payroll departments to coordinate the implementation of benefits, compensation and relocation packages
Supervise payroll processing and review quarterly and annual returns prepared by the payroll company selected by the client
Internal Management
Participate in the recruitment of accountants
Document and update regularly procedures of the function for each client (so that transfer of information and transition are easier)
Enter personal time in time tracking and billing system as well as any travel time or expense to allocate to client if applicable.
Knowledge & Experience
Extended knowledge of financial accounting, human resources, tax and legal regulations
Customer oriented
Able to multitask and switch tasks according to client’s priorities
Able to work in a multicultural environment
Able to document procedures and ensure that supervised staff follows instructions
High degree of confidentiality
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a service-oriented environment
Sage 50 and clients internal online software (QuickBooks, Navision, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
