Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client recruit their next Controller. Our client is seeking a Controller to help build and lead the accounting organization for their rapidly growing AI infrastructure company. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance, this person will play a pivotal role in establishing scalable accounting systems, implementing robust internal controls in preparation for SOX compliance and IPO readiness, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the finance foundation of a company that is accelerating the future of AI through purpose-built data centers and on-demand GPU compute services. This position is based in Dallas or Atlanta and can be remote. Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Build and Scale the Accounting Function Design and implement a best-in-class accounting infrastructure and internal control environment to support rapid growth and public-company readiness. Hire, train, and lead a growing accounting team that can scale with the organization. Partner with leadership to implement scalable accounting systems (ERP and related automation tools). Establish accounting policies and procedures in alignment with U.S. GAAP and evolving business needs. Financial Close and Reporting Own and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses. Ensure proper accounting for capital expenditures, leases, and cost allocations associated with data center infrastructure and GPU assets. Support the SVP of Finance in preparing materials for the Board, investors, and external stakeholders. Compliance and Controls (SOX Readiness) Lead the company’s efforts to design and document internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in preparation for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Partner with external auditors and advisors to manage audits and technical accounting reviews. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and SEC reporting requirements relevant to a pre-IPO technology company. Systems, Automation, and Process Improvement Evaluate and integrate financial systems to enhance automation, data integrity, and reporting accuracy. Drive efficiency across accounting workflows — from billing and revenue recognition to capital project accounting and asset tracking – via reliance upon supporting systems such as FloQast and Workiva. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to align accounting with system-driven metrics such as GPU utilization and data center capacity. Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure compliance and consistency across all financial processes. Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions, contracts, and new business models. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on accounting implications of strategic decisions. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;

CPA required

(active license). 8+ years of progressive accounting experience , including experience in a high-growth or pre-IPO technology company. Strong technical knowledge of

U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements . Proven experience implementing or upgrading

ERP systems

and scaling accounting operations. Preference given to candidates having experience using NetSuite and/or Workiva. Background in

capital-intensive tech environments

preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and operate hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
