Patient Care Coordinator – OB/Gynecology
Full‑time, days position at UW Medicine – Roosevelt Women’s Health Center.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison for patients and physicians regarding surgical coordination, ordering diagnostic studies, and admission processes.
Coordinate and schedule pre‑admission tests, pre‑surgery appointments/tests, procedures and complex imaging.
Maintain surgery schedules for assigned surgeons and coordinate schedules with anesthesia, admitting, and the operating room.
Coordinate communication among patients, surgeons, and internal/external providers.
Complete appropriate documentation for planned admissions and surgeries, and communicate with the health‑care team regarding status and completion of care coordination activities.
Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and insurance referral information, in the computer system.
Coordinate with the Financial Clearance Unit / Patient Access Center for verification of benefits and authorization for outpatient visits, inpatient stays, and/or surgical procedures.
Ensure EPIC referral work queues are addressed in a timely manner under the direction of the clinic leadership team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a medically related or public relations field AND two years of experience in a tertiary patient‑care setting involving interaction with medical services, patients/families, physicians, and proficiency in medical terminology.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications, except where legal requirements exist (e.g., license, certification, registration).
Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $52,164.00 – $74,676.00 annually.
