Oceanside Unified School District is seeking a qualified

Speech Language Pathologist

to support students with communication disorders across multiple schools.

Job Summary Identify and assess children referred for delays in speech or language. Provide direct specialized instruction and consultation services to support students with communication disorders and monitor student progress. Participate in individual educational programs (IEPs) and provide early interventions for non‑identified students.

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized therapy to students with speech, language, articulation, voice or fluency disorders.

Conduct assessments and provide consultation to teachers and families.

Develop and monitor IEP goals and document progress.

Collaborate with department chair and other school staff.

Attend monthly department meetings.

Use district resources for therapy materials and attend conferences as required.

Qualifications

Valid California credential authorizing assignment as a Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential OR Speech Language Pathology Services Credential.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with school‑age children and/or in a clinical/private setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information All employment with the Oceanside Unified School District is contingent upon successfully passing a pre‑employment physical examination, including drug testing and fingerprint clearance. Fingerprint clearance is required at the prospective employee’s expense. OUSD will provide the needed forms to complete these requirements.
