NURSE PRACTITIONER / MIDWIFE II

Location MDH St. Mary's County Health Department 21580 Peabody Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650
Responsibilities
Provide family nurse practitioner services at St. Mary's County Health Department School-Based Health Centers.
Primary care (adult and pediatric) including acute and chronic illness diagnosis and management, health education, and prevention services.
Medication and treatment administration.
Diagnostic testing.
COVID‑19 testing and vaccine administration.
Provide services at other SMCHD clinic locations as needed.
Possible evening and weekend outreach events to meet community needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife by the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife (or equivalent U.S. Armed Forces military service experience).
Desired Qualifications
Board certified family medicine nurse practitioner experienced working with children.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications
Current certificate as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
Motor vehicle operator’s license if duties require driving.
