Location: Bridgeport, CT 06610
Assignment Length: 16 weeks (11/17/2025 – 3/9/2026)
Shift: Days, 5x8‑hour shifts (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Call: 2‑3 weekend call shifts per 6‑week schedule; weekday call sign‑up available
Setting: Operating Room, Level II Trauma Center
Charting System: EPIC
Free Parking
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2560 - $2750
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
Trauma nursing experience required (Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I preferred)
Active, unencumbered Connecticut Registered Nurse license (CT RN license)
BLS certification required
Ability to scrub and circulate most surgical specialties: general, gynecology, urology, robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, thoracic
Proficiency with EPIC charting system
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
Travel nursing experience and Level I trauma experience preferred
Must provide at least one professional reference
Not accepting local candidates (must live more than 75 miles from facility)
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures: general, GYN, urology, robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, thoracic
Deliver trauma patient care in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment
Participate in on‑call rotation (weekend and weekday calls)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, social services
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
Ensure patient safety and compliance with universal protocols and infection control standards
Complete orientation and required modules prior to start
