The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability, managing technical change initiatives, and supporting maintenance planning and execution within a
high-speed manufacturing environment . This position plays a key role in diagnosing root causes of equipment issues, implementing engineering solutions, and supporting predictive and preventive maintenance programs to enhance operational performance.
Primary Responsibilities Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Lead and facilitate investigations into recurring equipment issues and system failures.
Develop and document corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Maintain a database of findings and analyze trends to support reliability improvements.
Coordinate and manage the engineering change process for equipment upgrades and process enhancements.
Evaluate proposed modifications for feasibility, impact, and compliance.
Oversee cross-functional reviews and ensure proper implementation.
Maintenance Optimization
Partner with maintenance and operations teams to refine preventive maintenance (PM) schedules based on performance data.
Support predictive maintenance (PdM) initiatives using condition-monitoring tools such as vibration, thermal, and ultrasonic analysis.
Recommend updates to PM/PdM strategies based on findings and vendor insights.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including equipment specifications, change records, and maintenance procedures.
Ensure all engineering work meets
safety, environmental, and quality
standards.
Project & Reliability Support
Provide engineering input for capital projects, new equipment installations, and process layout changes.
Research and evaluate new technologies that enhance reliability and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with production, maintenance, and procurement teams to resolve technical challenges.
Participate in continuous improvement teams and share technical expertise.
Coordinate vendor visits, review outcomes, and implement recommended improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering , or equivalent experience.
Minimum
3 years of experience
in maintenance or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of
root cause analysis
and
engineering change management .
Experience with
predictive maintenance techniques
(vibration, thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing).
Proficiency with
CMMS
and engineering documentation systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Average time from submission to implementation
Equipment Downtime Reduction:
% reduction in unplanned downtime year-over-year
