Overview MRI Technologist in MRI Unit at St Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Per Diem and requires a 12-hour variable shift schedule. The role involves performing magnetic resonance-based diagnostic imaging procedures, managing patient care, and collaborating closely with radiologists and other technologists.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of MRI diagnostic procedures according to department standards and age-specific criteria.

Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, the public, and medical staff.

Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities.

Act as a clinical and technical resource to technologists and radiologists.

Maintain call schedules to meet staffing needs of the department.

Required Qualifications

National Registered Technologist – Magnetic Resonance Imaging or

National Certified MRI Technologist – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.

National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.

California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT).

Five years of experience as the primary technologist in a high-volume MRI facility.
