Counselor III Part-time - Friary of Pensacola
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioural health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counselling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses. Friary Pensacola provides access to comprehensive mental health care and substance misuse treatment by providing outpatient counselling, intensive outpatient counselling and veterans‑specific counselling. The Friary Pensacola is a private‑practice model facility located on Lakeview’s main campus. Services include individual therapy and group therapy. Hours are 8 am–5 pm Monday through Friday.
Overview Primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge (Master’s Degree, Licence/Certification, and at least two years of experience) in the field of Human Services, and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgement in providing the highest quality client‑centred therapeutic services. Must also use such advanced knowledge to serve as a consultant and mentor to Bachelor’s Level Direct Care employees and Behavioural Technicians, among other staff. This position is entrusted with a high level of responsibility and insight in treating clients and ensuring services are provided and documented in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, in addition to LCI and division standards. Based on the knowledge and degree required, this position will serve as a lead position in the provision of direct care.
Therapeutic services include but are not limited to assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person‑centred services and management of client risk and safety.
Requirements
Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counselling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field (major coursework includes the study of human behaviour and development).
Must hold an active Florida licence as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
At least two (2) years’ experience working with adults who have mental health, substance abuse and/or co‑occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co‑occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
Must be able to pass organisation screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver’s licence with a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation Base pay ranges from $27.24–$30.19 an hour based on experience.
