Join our award-winning clinic on Rt 2 in Leominster, operating for more than 30 years. You will work with an experienced admin staff and two CPOs to provide the best possible care. The ideal candidate would lead treatment of our pediatric population, including cranial remolding orthoses, spinal orthoses, and pediatric lower limb orthotics. The clinic serves a wide territory including hospitals, SNFs, and VA facilities; travel up to 30 miles may be required. There is no on-call, weekend, or after-hours contract. This semi-rural area offers New England charm with opportunities to hike, visit farmers markets, or take the train into Boston in a day. Join our family-like team! As a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, you will contribute to improving patients’ lives and those of their families and communities. You will leverage extensive training and a broad clinical community to provide or supervise comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care. You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, implement them, follow up, and participate in practice management. If not yet certified, you will provide care under the direction of a certified clinician. You will enjoy combining clinical and technical skills to evaluate patients, design, fabricate and fit prostheses and orthoses to deliver outstanding outcomes. You will collaborate with rehabilitation teammates and utilize the latest technology to empower human potential together. Your Impact
Depending on operational requirements, clinic size and state/local law, your role may include some or all of the following: Collaborate with physicians in evaluating patient need for prosthetic/orthotic services and recommend treatment options when necessary. Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss. Formulate design of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices. Select materials, take cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts using current techniques and materials. Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments. Evaluate devices on patient, adjust for fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work. Instruct patient in use of devices. Identify and resolve issues to ensure patient satisfaction. Provide follow-up with patients and physicians. Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health professionals. Utilize materials management, quality and performance processes to maximize device quality while managing costs. Meet with physicians, case managers and referral sources to review services and enhance business relationships for ongoing referrals. Plan and implement strategies to meet/exceed revenue targets in coordination with management. Provide detailed clinical notes in patient records. May mentor residents or newly certified clinicians. Provide assistance to other clinical staff. Provide information to administrative staff for reimbursement activities. Adhere to safety regulations and comply with Medicare and other governmental regulations and OSHA requirements. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. May be asked to perform on-call, hospital calls, or float between more than one clinic location. Minimum Qualifications
Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC), or A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and current ABC Board-Eligibility in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics. A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined in Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure may be required. May be willing to consider candidates who are certified in one discipline who wish to see patients in their certified discipline while completing residency in the other discipline. May be willing to consider candidates who are not certified or board-eligible but have at least 5 years of demonstrated past experience in providing prosthetic/orthotic services under supervision of a certified clinician.
