Civil Project Engineer II/III – Structure & Bridge Design
Timmons Group is seeking a highly motivated civil engineer to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group located in our Raleigh, NC office.
Location Raleigh, North Carolina
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine and complex bridge, building, renewable energy, and ancillary structure designs.
Conduct bridge and building rehabilitation designs.
Conduct bridge load ratings.
Assist with the development of scope, schedule, and budgets for projects.
Assist with the management of projects and tasks.
Assist with marketing and proposal development.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
2+ years of structure and/or bridge design experience required.
PE License is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and NCDOT standards.
Proficiency in structural design software packages.
Proficiency in the use of Microstation and/or AutoCAD for plan development.
NBIS bridge inspection certification is a plus.
