We’re seeking a Product Designer to join Capital One’s Experience Design team. We’re passionate about creating memorable, meaningful product experiences that build the Capital One brand with humanity and drive business advantage and innovation. The Experience Design team enriches customers’ digital and physical experiences and fosters collaboration, authenticity, diversity of thought, belonging, and continuous learning. Responsibilities
Combine craft expertise with an understanding of customers and the business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems. Apply product design expertise across interaction, visual, and service design to elevate the design practice; work with cross-functional partners to create artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes. Champion the customer through the design process, factoring in data, research insights, scalability, tech constraints, and feedback. Understand and apply business and customer strategy; facilitate design process activities with teams and partners to align customer needs with business goals. Explore and apply knowledge of tech and data capabilities and emerging technologies to inform work, identify opportunities, and navigate technical constraints. Foster collaboration with partners, listen to diverse points of view, and drive alignment across teams. Present work to audiences across levels using a human-centered approach that integrates design frameworks, data, and research insights to articulate insights and design decisions. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in a Product Design role At least 3 years of experience with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma Preferred Qualifications At least 4 years of experience in a Product Design role At least 4 years of experience with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma At least 4 years of experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners At least 4 years of experience working with an established design system Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces Additional Information
This role does not sponsor a new employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries are location-based and may be cited in the offer letter. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Locations listed include Chicago, IL; McLean, VA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA; and San Francisco, CA, with pay ranges indicated per location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will follow the pay range for that location. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, including cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
