The Role The Vice President of Development and Construction will be responsible for managing the construction and FF&E related activities associated with new build as well as capital improvement projects at Bally’s. The candidate will be responsible to manage overall construction processes for a large range of green field (new build) and capital improvement projects, including pre-construction activities, and overall quality assurance and quality control. The candidate will collaborate on with other team members on design, programming and master planning. The candidate must have excellent communication, creative, and organizational skills to interface with property Executives on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
Implements approved design concepts in conjunction with SVP of Design & Development
Identifies and recommends Contractors and sub contractors
Administers Request for Qualification (RFQ) & bid process
Develops complete bid packages for new build projects and renovation of assets
Directs, coordinates, and manages all construction activities
Ensures schedule adherence of project deliverables by contractors
Oversees project budgets and project schedules to ensure on-time and on budget project completion
Monitors overall quality levels of finishes and FF&E & OS&E procurement
Helps implement brand design standards and implement ongoing brand aesthetic policy working in conjunction with SVP of Design & Development and VP of Architecture and Marketing & Branding teams
Effectively prioritizes multiple projects (New Build as well as CapEx) concurrently
Reviews and understands, with professional proficiency, detailed construction documents, schedules and budgets.
Acts as liaison between contractor and the design & development department.
Qualifications
7+ years of construction experience; hospitality design preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Project Management preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
