Description We seek a seasoned Software Developer/Architect with deep hands‑on expertise in ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse), and SharePoint to support a large Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise customer. This role requires deep expertise in modern application development, security compliance, and enterprise platform integration. The primary responsibility is to analyze existing legacy ColdFusion applications and design the definitive, compliant, and cost‑effective migration strategy to either the ServiceNow Platform or Microsoft Power Platform/SharePoint Online. The Architect will define the technical architecture and serve as the lead author for all technical sections of the proposal response.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the comprehensive, end‑to‑end technical solution for the solicitation, ensuring the proposed approach meets all Federal/DoD operational, security, and scalability requirements.

Design scalable, secure, and compliant integrations (REST, SOAP, Graph API, webhooks, Azure Functions) across enterprise systems (ERP, HR, CMDB, ticketing).

Define data models, governance, and lifecycle management for Dataverse, ServiceNow tables, and SharePoint lists/libraries.

Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) with automated build, test, and deploy for ServiceNow (Update Sets/Scoped Apps), Power Platform (Solution Packs/ALM Accelerator), and SharePoint (SPFx/PNP provisioning).

Analyze the complexity and business logic of legacy ColdFusion applications and conceptualize the optimal migration target (ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform).

Design the full migration plan, including phased roadmaps, resource requirements, data migration strategies, and risk mitigation tactics to ensure business continuity.

Architect a security strategy that integrates proposed applications with enterprise Identity and Access Management (Microsoft Entra ID, CAC/PIV) and ensures compliance with DoD STIGs, NIST 800‑53, and Zero‑Trust principles.

Required Skills / Education / Certifications & Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in IT solution architecture, application development, or technical consulting.

3+ years architecting and delivering ServiceNow solutions (scoped apps, flows, integrations, CMDB, update set governance).

3+ years with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse ALM).

3+ years with SharePoint (Online preferred; SPFx, modern sites, governance, migration).

Hands‑on experience developing in modern languages/frameworks (C#, AngularJS, SQL) to inform architectural decisions.

Experience with REST/JSON, OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, webhooks, and common integration patterns.

Proven experience defining migration strategies for legacy application modernization, specifically ColdFusion.

Expert‑level architecture with ServiceNow Platform, Microsoft Power Platform, and SharePoint Online.

Deep knowledge of Federal/DoD IT security standards: NIST 800‑53, DoD STIGs, Zero‑Trust architecture concepts.

Experience building and institutionalizing enterprise STLC program and integrating it with CI/CD.

Proficiency with Azure DevOps or GitHub, test automation frameworks, and pipeline‑as‑code.

Desired Skills

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified System Administrator; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.

Familiarity integrating application platforms with enterprise cybersecurity solutions (e.g., SentinelOne, Splunk, SIEM/XDR platforms).
