Assistant Program Director of Vocational Nursing – Full Time Base pay: $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year.

Job Description We are looking for an Assistant Program Director – Vocational Nursing Program to join our team. The position reports to the Campus Program Director of the Vocational Nursing Program and is responsible for the planning, development, management, and evaluation of the program.

Assists the Director with planning, developing, managing, updating, and evaluating all aspects of the program.

Prepares data and written materials for state and board requirements, reports, proposals, self‑studies, surveys, and site visits.

Identifies and obtains outside resources for the nursing program.

Assesses the agency’s ability to provide clinical experience that meets educational objectives.

Ensures Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved before initiating clinical rotations.

Ensures student theory and clinical evaluations are completed timely by faculty.

Maintains evaluations by students, clinical site representatives, and faculty at the completion of each rotation.

Assists with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.

Continually improves instruction quality.

Ensures clinical assignments, rotation matrixes, and calendars are completed promptly.

Ensures faculty consistently follow policy and guidelines related to student clinical rotation experience.

Reviews student learning materials on an ongoing basis.

Maintains student records according to policies.

Submits required program reports and forms to the Director in a timely manner.

Keeps current with new technologies and safety regulations.

Provides advising support and planning assistance to potential students.

Ensures all students complete required documentation and meet graduation and licensing exam requirements.

Teaches either theory or clinical courses for half of the work hour.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid, clear, current RN license in the state of application.

Baccalaureate degree from an approved school.

Minimum of three years’ experience as an RN, including at least one year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state‑approved nursing or vocational program.

Or, minimum of three years’ experience in nursing administration or education within the last five years.

Completion of courses in teaching, curriculum development, and administration from an approved institution.
