We are seeking a bold, outcome-driven
Vice President of Marketing
to lead Fuel Cycle’s next wave of growth by boldly positioning our AI-native offerings, creating demand across the executive suite, and claiming white space in a rapidly transforming insights industry. This is a builder's role — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
We want a VP who thinks in business outcomes, moves at startup speed, and knows how to channel creativity into influence and impact — especially with senior-level decision makers (CMOs, CPOs, CFOs UX and Insights leaders). You’re energized by change, driven by urgency, and ready to architect a lean, AI-first marketing engine that delivers bold results — not just bold ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Strategic Positioning: Own and continuously refine the brand narrative across Autonomous Insights, Online Communities, and UX solutions.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Marketing: Lead the development and execution of GTM strategies for new products, features, and PLG initiatives.
Demand Generation & Revenue Marketing: Build and scale full-funnel campaigns to generate pipeline and accelerate deal velocity.
AI-Driven Marketing Execution: Lead AI-first marketing innovation leveraging generative AI and predictive analytics in campaign creation, content scaling, and performance optimization.
Executive Audience & Enterprise Engagement: Develop marketing programs and content tailored to C-level buyers and expand engagement with Fortune 1000 decision-makers.
Team Leadership & Performance Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team and ensure cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
Budget & Vendor Management: Manage marketing budget, vendor relationships, and performance reporting to ensure ROI on every initiative.
Your Success Metrics
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Contribution: Increase marketing-sourced and influenced revenue; growth in pipeline and closed/won deals attributed to marketing.
Demand Generation & Performance Marketing: Growth in MQLs, SQLs, and opportunity conversion rates; optimized CPL, CPA, ROAS; scalable campaign execution.
Brand & Market Positioning: Growth in brand awareness, share of voice, executive visibility; thought leadership benchmarks.
Customer Acquisition, Retention & Expansion: CAC aligned with benchmarks; improved NPS and lifecycle engagement; upsell/cross-sell influence.
Product Marketing & GTM Execution: Successful launches and campaigns; strong sales enablement and GTM impact.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Analytical skills and proficiency with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo).
Full-Stack B2B Marketing: Demand generation, ABM, product marketing, brand, content, and PLG strategies.
AI-First Marketing Mindset: Fluency in leveraging AI tools to improve scalability and performance.

What you’ll bring
10+ years in marketing roles, including 3+ years in a senior leadership position within B2B SaaS or insights/research tech
Experience leading GTM for disruptive, emerging category products
Enterprise SaaS PLG experience, self-serve funnels, freemium models
Experience engaging enterprise decision-makers (CMOs, Product, UX, Insights leaders)
Strong command of analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo)
Based in Los Angeles – this is an in-person HQ-based role in West Los Angeles
Preferred, But Not Required
Experience in high-growth, venture-backed SaaS
Familiarity with modern martech stacks and performance marketing analytics
Advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

This position pays between $175,000 – $225,000 base salary + bonus. Your final base salary will be determined based on location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
This position follows a hybrid work model and is based out of our Los Angeles HQ, with an on-site presence required 4 days/week.
