Director of Account Management is a strategic and analytical marketing leader responsible for driving performance, client satisfaction, and portfolio success across a diverse portfolio. This leader will oversee the largest team within Marketing, managing five managers and four associates, and play a key role in shaping integrated marketing strategies that fuel engagement, occupancy, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Insight-Led Decisions
Develop and execute marketing and account strategies that leverage consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and trends to deliver measurable business results.
Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and performance dashboards to ensure marketing effectiveness, accountability, and continuous optimization.
Translate complex data into actionable recommendations that improve lead generation, conversion rates, and customer experience.
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Revenue Management, and Marketing teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between corporate marketing and property teams to ensure consistent brand storytelling, timely execution, and alignment to portfolio priorities.
Develop tailored strategies and goals per client or regional target to ensure alignment with local market conditions and business objectives.
Strategic Talent Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing account management organization through coaching, mentoring, and development.
Cultivate a culture of innovation, curiosity, accountability, and data-driven performance across the team.
Optimize team structure and processes to ensure efficiency and clarity in responsibilities.
Performance & Client Success
Oversee campaign planning, execution, and analysis to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all properties and marketing channels.
Monitor service levels, client satisfaction, and overall portfolio performance, implementing proactive solutions to meet and exceed expectations.
Collaborate with analytics and digital teams to evaluate lead quality, channel efficiency, and marketing ROI.
Your Day-to-Day
Lead weekly performance reviews with managers focused on data insights, marketing performance, and SLAs.
Translate business goals into measurable marketing plans and accountability frameworks.
Develop quarterly performance summaries and business reviews for internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with digital and creative teams to optimize campaign performance and enhance lead-to-lease results.
Provide strategic support for underperforming properties by diagnosing root causes and implementing targeted marketing and pricing solutions.
Qualifications
8+ years of marketing, account management, or client services experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams.
Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels.
Strong analytical mindset with expertise in performance metrics, lead generation, conversion optimization, and customer segmentation.
Skilled in marketing technologies including CRM systems, Google Analytics, and content management tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with sharp attention to detail.
Demonstrated success in leading teams, influencing cross-functional partners, and driving business results in a fast-paced environment.
