Engineer V, Plant and Process Design

Job Description X-energy LLC is hiring an experienced Plant and Process Design Engineer to join its Reactors team. This role is responsible for designing and developing a feedwater and steam-based mechanical system and its associated components. The system will provide water and accept steam or water from a steam generator, dissipate heat, and return water to the generator to control temperature within the entire system. Responsibilities include identifying requirements, conceptualizing system architecture, developing layout through final design, performing process calculations, selecting and specifying equipment components to meet all technical specifications and program/project requirements. The role also oversees implementation of rigorous, repeatable System Engineering processes, ensures technical integration, monitors risks, and provides system-level oversight and support.
