Overview Reporting to the SVP of Engineering you'll lead a team of transportation and warehouse engineers responsible for T&W projects across 40+ internal plants and external company owned warehouse to deliver automation and network optimization to deliver Conagra's T&W strategy and cost optimization.

You’ll originate strategy for material handling systems to ensure reliable operation and develop warehouse studies to determine requirements and improvement opportunities. Work with the logistics and warehouse operations teams to align team priorities and project solutions. Leads warehouse automation systems from initial front end development to project execution including identifying and implementing projects and new technologies which will transform material movements from the raw/packaging warehouse, to the production lines, and palletizers to the warehouse storage locations which deliver good payback solutions. Utilize effective communication and leadership skills to be influential across the organization at a platform, business, or enterprise level.

Position Responsibilities

Develop internal subject matter experts by building technical capability and mentoring.

Lead the engineering design for warehouse automation including standardization of equipment and procedures and replicate these across the enterprise.

Utilize technology, standard and emerging automation technologies as a lever to increase competitiveness and improve operational performance.

Lead the team to develop Front-End-Loading packages (FEL's) that are complete and concise and reflect thorough due diligence to ensure project success. FEL packages include, but are not limited to:

Technology assessment and recommended solutions reflecting plant, Conagra, and industry best-in-class practices

Work with the engineering team to establish physical location, general arrangement placements, cost, schedule, risks, and startup requirements for projects including equipment / system performance criteria

Write detailed functional requirements

Review FEL packages or equivalent for accuracy, completeness, and operational effectiveness.

Develop order of magnitude estimates to give the business a directional view of the initiative

Keep current on emerging technologies, latest automation and robotics technology, commercial applications, industry regulations and codes relevant to the warehouse operations

Trouble shooting and continuous improvement of existing systems

Lead warehouse system improvements

Stay connected to the industry and technology warehouse automation leaders

Position Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

10+ years' experience in warehouse engineering and automation system design.

Subject Matter Expert in Warehouse Design and Automation.

Experience developing and implementing automation/robotic solutions

Communicate technical requirements to non-technical audience

Technical analysis and problem-solving skills

Experience providing both tactical and strategic project leadership.

Experience working collaboratively within a matrix organization.

Ability to travel up to 50% travel

Position based in Chicago IL, Omaha NE, or select field locations.

Anticipated Close Date: December 5, 2025

Compensation Pay Range: $133,000-$197,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
