Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.
Position Overview Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite) The Senior Manufacturing Engineer supports development, assembly, and testing of Hoist & Winch products. This position will primarily be responsible for establishing a new assembly and test line for the Pegasus® Next Generation Hoist. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also support legacy product line operations and improvements.
What You’ll Do
Take responsibility for building a new production line from the ground up
Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
Create assembly planning, work instructions and assembly aids
Design fixtures and tooling
Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Improve cycle times and lead times
Disposition non‑conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
Perform operator training, as required
Engage with factory area leads to address systemic issues and provide root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Experience with the manufacturing engineering aspects of New Product Introduction for regulated products
Experience with interpretation of technical documentation (e.g. Engineering drawings and specifications)
Experience with the creation of work instructions in a manufacturing environment
Experience with a shop floor management system (e.g. SAP, IFS, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
