Job Summary The role will perform research and development of advanced analytics solutions in healthcare. Interact with subject matter experts to uncover important insights and build on concepts in statistics, optimization, and machine learning to improve patient and provider experiences. Identify strategic issues, form hypothesis, design and conduct analyses, synthesize conclusions into recommendations and presentation materials and conduct follow‑up studies.
Position Responsibilities
Use mathematics, statistics, predictive models, business analysis, and cloud technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.
Understand and document business/clinical needs as well as recommend appropriate IS solutions to deliver the needed data.
Serve as primary data liaison to the business/clinical areas to ensure overall expectations are met or exceeded for all data/reporting needs.
Facilitate effective customer engagement through regular applicable governance meetings, rounding, and communications regarding requirements, enhancements and priorities.
Keep abreast of current healthcare trends by attending appropriate meetings and reviewing current literature.
Provide market intelligence on a regular basis to operations/product line managers and executives.
Research how to collect or find raw data that can be transformed into meaningful information.
Position Qualifications
2+ years’ experience applying modern machine learning algorithms (clustering, classification, and regression), statistical methods, and optimization.
Strong skills in SQL, fluency in coding in R and/or Python.
Experience using major cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
Strong data visualization abilities in Tableau/QlikView, ggplot, etc.
Familiarity with EPIC is preferred.
Required Education Master’s Degree in data science, industrial and systems engineering, analytics, mathematics, business, or related field.
Training / Certification / Licensure Advanced level experience with SQL, NoSQL, Tableau, Azure, R and/or Python and other database tools for research and analysis.
Annual Salary:
$90,431 – $148,994 (actual salary will vary based on experience and internal equity)
