We are currently seeking a Senior System Engineer to take ownership of managing and optimizing our AWS and Azure environments across both Windows and Linux platforms. In this role, you will support development workflows, ensure the security and reliability of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, and drive efficiency through automation.
Responsibilities
Managing AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure supporting both Windows and Linux‑based workloads
Root cause identification and remediation of security/system alerts across Windows and Linux environments
Performing server and network troubleshooting using both PowerShell/GUI tools and Linux command‑line utilities
Regular system maintenance including patch management for Windows Updates and Linux package updates
Managing application deployments through CI/CD pipelines supporting both Windows and Linux targets
Implementing and following change control processes for multi‑platform infrastructure modifications
Documenting new procedures and maintaining runbooks for both Windows and Linux system operations
Working on automation projects spanning Windows and Linux environments in a timely manner
Participating in an on‑call rotation schedule for off‑hours escalations across all platforms
Required Skills
At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy)
Preferred 3 years of experience in Linux System Administration (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS / Rocky, Amazon Linux)
At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration across Windows and Linux environments
At least 3 years of experience managing Azure & Azure DevOps with both Windows and Linux pipelines
At least 3 years of experience managing AWS environment including both Windows EC2 and Linux instances
Proficiency in PowerShell for Windows automation and Bash/Python for Linux scripting
Experience with containerization on both platforms (Docker on Windows/Linux, Windows Containers)
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation)
Understanding of cross‑platform networking: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and Linux networking
Advanced understanding of protocols: TCP/IP, SMB/CIFS, SSH, RDP, SSL/TLS, Kerberos
Strong motivation to automate operations across Windows and Linux using appropriate tools
Experience with configuration management for both platforms (DSC, Ansible, Group Policy)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in mixed Windows/Linux environments
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in hybrid DevOps teams
