About The Job The Director Distribution & Logistics is responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s end-to-end Warehouse and Logistics infrastructure, with a strong focus on warehouse management, third-party logistics (3PL) management, freight and overall distribution. This role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, and high service levels across all logistics and warehousing functions for multiple channels (DTC, Retailer and 3P ecommerce sales). The leader will oversee internal and external warehouse operations, logistics strategy, and execution, while fostering a high-performance and transformational culture across the team.

Main Responsibilities

Design and implement a logistics and warehousing strategy that supports annual double-digit growth while driving efficient scalability.

Ensure seamless coordination between all internal departments as well as internal warehousing and third-party providers.

Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence.

Build a resilient logistics network and leverage technology to enable scalability.

Champion a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Lead and oversee internal warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, material flow, and inventory accuracy.

Manage third-party warehouse relationships to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and timely order fulfillment.

Manage contracts with third-party warehouse and logistics providers.

Develop and implement transformational warehousing and logistics strategies to optimize inventory flows, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP, FDA).

Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Quality teams to align operations with business needs.

Track and analyze KPIs such as OTIF, cycle times, inventory turnover, and logistics cost per unit to drive performance improvements.

Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering accountability, innovation, and inclusion.

Monitor and drive down non-compliance fees.

Manage operational budgets and contribute to strategic planning and transformation initiatives.

Implement risk management practices to ensure business continuity and mitigate disruptions.

Leverage digital tools and automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Implement environmentally sustainable practices across logistics and warehousing.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

12+ years of progressive experience in operations and logistics management, preferably in the CPG, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceutical industries. Proven success in managing complex, multi-site warehouse and logistics networks, including 3PLs.

Deep / hands on expertise in warehouse operations, layout optimization, and inventory control.

Strong understanding of logistics strategy, transportation management, and 3PL oversight.

Strong acumen in developing and managing contracts with freight providers and 3PL partners

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP), WMS, TMS

Experience with 3PL selection and implementation

Understanding and experience with developing/managing interfaces between internal ERPs and 3PL providers

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, FDA, GMP).

Understanding of Import/Export activities.

Ability to lead transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

10% travel required.
