is a national leader in construction restoration. ATI takes pride in assisting all of our customers and clients; no project is too big or too small. As part of our national expansion efforts, we are adding to our teams. We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for effectively supervising restoration and structural work in the remodeling of residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. This includes but is not limited to reading plans or instructions, finish carpentry, framing, hanging crown moldings, installing board-ups, installing window / door casings and baseboards, installing fixtures and hardware, using hand and power tools, and checking the accuracy of completed work. Tasks also include supervising the work of in-house crews, examining the quality of workmanship of subcontractors and temporary employees. In addition, shoring erection, repair / replace patios, decks, doors, cabinets, appliances, and necessary demolition to repair, drywall installation, tape, and texture work. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary might arise.

Responsibilities

Reading plans or instructions.

Finish carpentry, framing, hanging crown moldings, installing board-ups, installing window / door casings and baseboards, installing fixtures and hardware.

Utilizing hand and power tools.

Checking the accuracy of completed work.

Supervising work of in-house crews.

Examining the quality of workmanship of subcontractors and temporary employees.

Shoring erection, repair / replace patios, decks, doors, cabinets, appliances, and necessary demolition to repair, drywall installation, tape, and texture work.

Observe all OSHA, EPA, SCAQMD regulations.

This position will require some travel at various times, and this person must be willing to work odd hours, weekends and holidays as called upon.

Daily use of Salesforce to manage projects, run reports, input and manage work orders, forecast budgets / labor / material, and other tasks as needed.

Technical Skills Proficiency in other trades, such as electrical wiring, masonry, finish carpentry, and painting experience, is a plus. Must possess sufficient visual acuity to read building codes, blueprints, and drawings. In addition, must be proficient in MS Office, Xactimate, and structural building experience. Insurance restoration experience is a plus.

Knowledgeable in the following trades in residential

Drywall installation, including screw schedule, texture, firewall code requirements

Framing, layouts, plan reading, hardware fasteners, stud rates, load carries

Painting, oil and water base determination, finishes, knowledge of sprayers, interior and exterior uses, sheens

Windows, E ratings, installations of block-retro-new, flashing, fire codes

Concrete, estimating, PSI knowledge, finishes, forming, rebar code electrical, basic knowledge of wiring, gauges, code, LED vs. fluorescent, junction boxes, Romex vs. conduit

Doors, door rating, interior vs. exterior, lock systems, sliders, hinge mechanisms

Plumbing, knowledge of kitchen-bath-utility rooms, drainage systems, ABS v PVC, toilet lines and flanges, degree runs, PSI ratings

Communication Skills Fluent English, both oral and written. Strong technical writing skills and ability to effectively express himself or herself orally in project reviews conducted among internal staff, before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Work Environment Working primarily in an administrative environment, will frequently visit sites with a work environment that is usually dirty, dusty, and noisy, on uneven ground / surfaces containing hazardous or potentially hazardous substances and / or materials, and is subject to inclement or extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Physical Demands:

Must be in good physical health and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination and drug screening. Able to wear full and half face respirator and lift / carry 50 pounds.

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent, some college is a plus

Minimum 2 to 3 years in a lead, foreman, or supervisor role

A combination of commercial and residential experience is preferred

Certifications Needed The candidate will be in possession of a current asbestos, lead, and mold certifications. Will also have llCRC AMRT certification. Such certification shall be issued by a Certified State training provider as identified by OSHA. The individual must have on file a valid and current environmental physical enabling the individual to wear a respirator. Also, OSHA 30 hr. construction course, current State Driver's license, and forklift operator certification. EPA Lead RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Painting) Certification is required.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions. Must have previous superintendent experience and knowledge of remodeling. Insurance restoration repairs experience preferred. Must have a strong work ethic and take pride in all work. The ability to work efficiently without wasting materials is a must. Experience operating vehicles up to 26,000 GVW and operating truck-trailer combinations. Good communication skills and commitment to company safety policy are a must. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Bilingual English / Spanish is encouraged but not required.
