Senior Water Resources Engineer
based in our Atlanta office.
You will be part of the Water Resources team, collaborating on projects in Water Resources, Hydrology/Hydraulics, and MS4. Typical assignments include drainage studies, flood control, bridge hydraulic design, bridge scour analyses, storm‑water management studies, and design/contract plans for flood control and storm‑water infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer license in the State of Georgia; ability to obtain licenses in other Southeast U.S. states.
10+ years of experience in Water Resources, Hydrology, or Hydraulics.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability with planning and conceptualization.
Advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, including GIS‑based applications.
Experience with HEC‑RAS 1D/2D, SMS SRH2D, EPA‑SWMM/PCSWMM 1D/2D, HEC‑HMS, HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD, or equivalent.
Preference for experience with Bentley products (ORD, GEOPAK, InROADS, etc.), AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS.
Preference for experience on GDOT projects.
Ability to perform limited field work: drainage investigations, topographic surveys, drainage asset inventories, etc.
Limited travel may be required.
Strong technical report writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
