WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Engineering & Maintenance, General Assembly is responsible for leading all aspects of the maintenance and engineering functions within the general assembly manufacturing line. This role ensures that all equipment, facilities, and systems are maintained to the highest standards, supporting operational goals and objectives.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities.
Lead all aspects of the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Schedule and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Lead engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to design and implement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Develop and lead the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations.
Source and lead external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and engineering tasks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and engineering projects.
Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance and engineering performance to senior management.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field – advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CMRP) are a plus.
8 years of experience in maintenance and engineering managerial roles in automotive general assembly manufacturing.
Experience leading large projects and leading cross‑functional teams.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, IN. Relocation assistance will be provided.
