Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Insurance Defense Attorney
to join our dynamic and growing team. Our firm specializes in the defense and prosecution of complex litigated matters throughout California, representing clients in a broad range of practice areas, including commercial liability, general liability, employment litigation, auto claims, construction injury and defect, professional liability, product liability, and environmental/toxic tort cases.
Key Responsibilities
Defend clients in a variety of litigated matters, including general liability, product liability, personal injury, commercial litigation, construction injury/defects, and employment litigation.
Handle all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
Prepare and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment and procedural motions.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis to clients, insurers, and risk management teams.
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
Collaborate with internal legal teams, experts, and outside counsel as needed.
Stay up-to-date on California laws and evolving legal trends affecting insurance defense litigation.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
2+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in insurance defense, general liability, or complex civil litigation.
Trial experience is a plus.
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to handle a diverse caseload independently while meeting deadlines.
