Job Description
Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks associated with the technical design and layout of structural engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Exercise engineering judgment for the development of facility layouts, material selections, and analysis of structures, and provide Direct Responsible Charge, guidance, and mentorship to junior-level structural engineers.
Serve as the technical lead for the Structural Engineering department under the guidance of the Structural Engineering Department Head.
Prepare layout and design of site development features, access roads, drainage channels, slope stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, and surface drainage.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering Focus or related discipline + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Four years of demonstrated work experience with ACI 350, Code Requirements for Environmental Engineering Concrete Structures, and related codes and standards.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in a US Jurisdiction with the ability to obtain licensure via comity in Massachusetts within twelve (12) months.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and, as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus or other advanced degree.
