Schedule Exempt position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Summary and Qualifications As an Oncology Nurse Navigator, you will function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and serve as an advocate and educator for cancer patients from diagnosis through the end of active treatment. You will ensure compliance with the treatment plan and work to build relationships with patients and physicians, coordinating education, resources and representation within the multidisciplinary care environment. You will also manage resources to achieve efficient, high‑quality outcomes for patients, including interdisciplinary and cross‑facility coverage.

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between the patient and family and multidisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Collaborate with local physician liaisons and leadership to conduct internal and external outreach and marketing when appropriate.

Act as a patient advocate from diagnosis to end of active treatment.

Assess patients’ medical, social, and psychosocial needs/barriers to care and link them to appropriate resources.

Provide teaching, outreach, and support to patients and families, ensuring patients are empowered to manage their own healthcare needs.

Conduct follow‑up conversations with all patients and communicate any concerns, changes, or social needs to the appropriate physician or other care providers.

Qualifications

Three to five years of oncology nursing experience.

Experience in program development preferred.

Experience as a nurse navigator and/or patient educator in oncology preferred.

Experience in leadership and customer service – preferred.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) achieved or in progress – preferred.
